Since I bought Peter Drew’s Twitter software, I have been using it gently. In other words, I’m a bit scared to let it run amok, especially as I am starting to see some benefits from meeting piles of new people all at once. I have found an extra 1,000 people to follow and, so far, about half of them are following me back. I’ve also started up some direct conversations with some of the people – I really like the direct messaging feature of twitter because that’s where the real benefit lies.

I haven’t tried the “unfollow” bit of the software yet – I think I’ll leave it for a few days before doing that because people seem to be drifting in and following me at all sorts of random times. I think it’s good to apply a bit of patience to the program.

So far, I’d give the twitter program a healthy 8 out of 10 – and may revise this in the course of the next couple of weeks.
